Quiet as the Ice
A poem
I know
it won't be easy
but what if
you made yourself still,
as still and quiet
as the ice on the pond
in January.
What if you let the snow
fall soundlessly over you
while the moon
watched wordlessly
overhead.
What would you finally hear?
